Although I am originally from California, my family has lived in Utah for the last 18 years. It has been a wonderful place to raise our children and serve in full time ministry. Many years ago, I earned a degree in English Literature while in California and played college basketball. Participating in sports and coaching has   influenced my teaching philosophy today. Instead of a career outside the home I chose to home school all four of my children through high school.  As my children got older I started to work in the public schools gaining experience as an instructional assistant. Eventually, I would become licensed as a Utah teacher and then go on to earn my Master’s In Curriculum and Instruction.  Some things I love are spending time with my husband, children and grand babies, helping others, staying fit, exercising, camping, painting, and ring making.  My favorite snacks are Cheetos and anything peanut butter/chocolate, especially ice-cream.
