About Mr. Holdaway

I was born and raised on a farm in Payson and lived there my whole life until I got married. Hauling hay in the hot summer sun and doing chores taught me the value of hard work. I come from a family of 13 kids. My twin brother and I are the oldest. I have been married for 22 years and have 3 children: a 21 year old daughter, 12 year old son, and an 8 year old daughter. My 12 year old and 8 year old attend school here at ALA and love it!  This is my 6th year teaching at ALA.

I received my teaching degree from Utah Valley University. I started at ALA in 2016 and have enjoyed teaching here. I feel the administration really cares about the teachers and the students. They are willing to invest the time and resources necessary for the growth and development of their teachers and students. We have a community where everyone is willing to share and support each other. What I love most about teaching is getting to know the students and impacting their lives, to see them grow in their knowledge and become better people. I love doing family history and spending time with my family.
