ALA Hires New Football Coach, Lance Burrell

Congratulations to Lance Burrell for becoming American Leadership Academy’s new high school football coach.

Before ALA, Burrell served as an Offensive Assistant for the quarterbacks and tight ends for the state championship winning team, the Layton Christian Academy Eagles.  Prior to coaching at LCA, he was the Head Football Coach at Providence Hall High School in Herriman, Utah.  Under his leadership the Patriots won the most games to date, saw multiple all-state and all-region athletes selected, and doubled the points per game for the Patriots offense in just one season.

Burrell also has college coaching experience as an offensive assistant coach working with the quarterbacks and receivers at Southern Utah University from 2015-2018 winning two Big Sky Conference Championships.

After leaving SUU, he joined the coaching staff as the Quarterbacks Coach and Pass Game Coordinator at Dakota Wesleyan.  As the play caller for the Tigers, Burrell produced a top 10 passing offense in the NAIA, a top 10 passing QB in Zach Lester, and an All American and National leader in WR in Spencer Neugebauer.

Coach Burrell has been married to his wife Caitlyn since 2017 and they have two children Harper (3) and Emmett (1).

Coach Burrell holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Coaching from Southern Utah University.
