BYU-Hawaii Admission Preparation

  • All students applying to Brigham Young University–Hawaii are required to have an ecclesiastical endorsement. Applicants that finished four years of seminary will be given priority.


  • Domestic (U.S.) Applicants are required to obtain a high school diploma (or equivalent) before beginning at BYU–Hawaii. There are no prerequisite courses needed for admittance to BYUH.


  • Applicants should have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or more.


  • BYU–Hawaii requires a minimum ACT score of 21.


  • Leadership responsibilities and extracurricular activities may also be used as determining factors in admission decisions.

BYU-Hawaii current students. Each semester, any student who achieves a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher will be placed on the dean’s list and considered for a $500 scholarship for the subsequent semester. Applications are not necessary.
