Job Description:
- Collaborate in Professional Learning Communities according to established PLC policies and norms.
- Follow established curriculum maps and work with the PLC team to revise as needed.
- Assist in developing and administering common formative and summative assessments.
- Utilize data from assessments to drive instruction and provide RTI within the UMTSS framework.
- Develop lesson plans and tasks/assignments that will ensure proficiency of Utah Core Standards.
- Demonstrate and supervise the safe and proper use of equipment necessary for English Language Arts.
- Monitor students’ progress, assign tasks, and grade assignments in a timely manner based on a competency based/standard based education model.
- Discuss students’ progress with parents, students, counselors, administrators, and PLC team on a regular basis.
- Implement and enforce classroom rules and safety procedures.
- Meet expectations as assigned by administration.
- Familiarity and willingness to utilize technology in the classroom
Qualifications and Credentials:
- Current Utah Educator License in secondary education with proper Science Endorsement
