About Mr. Ramos
I was born and raised in Mexico, I am the last of 3 kids, I learned some of my English skills while little, my parents were English teachers, so I always liked the language and expected to speak it one day. I had the opportunity to come to Utah at the age of 16 and continue developing my speaking and music skills by taking piano lessons. During High School I enjoyed sports and arts, joining the football team and the school choir were some of my goals I wanted to accomplish.
During the next years English was a very important tool to communicate with friends and people that wanted to make it part of their lives. My first job was a customer service representative even though I did not like to use phones. I had the great opportunity to increase my language by helping people from America and around the world.
I am happily married for 10 years, I have a wonderful kid (6). I love to serve in as much as I can to everyone. My love in teaching started very early. I worked for several English schools in Mexico having several students of different ages, children from 5 to adults. I found an opportunity to teach in a school in 4th grade where I began with larger groups and enjoyed so much, so I took several courses to meet the requirements that I needed for teaching. I received some international certifications in the English Teaching. I worked for that school for 5 years and was able to help some of the students to prepare for international contests having a great response from them and results.
It is always great to learn from students, this year I am very happy with all students around me. My first major is Graphics and currently I am looking for a way to continue my second career in Computer Science that I dropped for this wonderful opportunity to teach in ALA. I always love taking pictures, nature and arts.
