Job Description:
Teachers who are willing to implement a variety of learning strategies and educational styles based on best practices in education. This teacher should be willing to adapt their teaching to the needs of individual students while maintaining high academic expectations of students of all abilities. Moreover, this teacher will be able to act creatively to engage students to enhance critical thinking skills. ALA is invested in its teachers and will provide Administrative and Departmental support to assist teachers in these efforts. Teachers who are interested in personal and professional growth, are dedicated to the social and academic outcomes of their students, and have a vision of ALL students being successful in their classes are encouraged to apply.
Qualifications and Credentials:
• Minimum B. A. in Music
• Teacher must also be highly qualified and hold or be able to obtain a minimum of a Level 1 Teaching Certification/License from the Utah State Office of Education.
• Demonstrated knowledge of State standards and assessments and the ability to facilitate data driven instruction into their classroom.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure student academic success/experience in High School Education preferred.
• Computer and Technology skills preferred.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
• All agreements for employment of personnel shall be subject to an interview or interviews by ALA Administration, Department Head, and/or colleague teachers as well as a sample teaching experience where the candidate will be requested to demonstrate their teaching abilities.
