About Mr. Lycett

He was raised in Western New York State in a small farming community South of Buffalo NY, where he attended school at Silver Creek Central School.  After high school he joined the US ARMY as a Signals Intelligence Analyst and served in Operation Desert Shield/Storm.  He completed his initial college education at the Australian Institute of Business with a Bachelors in Management and a Master's in Business Administration with a focus on finance.  He is currently enrolled at Utah Valley University working on his Masters in Secondary Education.  Prior to starting his role as a teacher in 2018 he worked as a business banker in Australia and the US.  He joined ALA in 2022 and is excited to work with the students and share his background in business and careers with the students.

What he loves about teaching is when the student has the penny drop moment and understands what is being taught.   Some of his favorite hobbies are shooting, 4 wheel driving, listening to music (Vinyl is great),  pickleball, and watching football. He has coached different sports over the last 30 years, which includes wrestling, football (Semi-Pro Perth Blitz) as well as youth football, basketball, softball, Australian rules football and track and field.  He is looking forward to working with the different sports teams and coaches at ALA..

He recently has remarried and between himself and his wife they have 11 kids and 7 grandchildren with 2 more due in 2022.
