Parking Lot Traffic Pattern & Rules

These procedures are established to prioritize the safety and security of all students.

Traffic Flow and Entry

  • Maintain a consistent and orderly flow of traffic at all times.
  • Students must remain in their designated grade-level waiting areas for safety.
    • North Side (Main Entrance): Kindergarten, 1st, and 6th Grades.
    • South Side (Main Entrance): 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grades.
  • Please enter the carpool lane from Del Monte Road, following the designated path around the school buildings.
  • Traffic within the carpool lane flows westbound only. Accessing the lane from Mill Road heading east creates a safety hazard and is not permitted.
  • The left lane is for through traffic only. Stopping, loading, or unloading in the left lane or designated fire lanes is strictly prohibited to help prevent a gridlock and ensure emergency access.
  • Cutting in line or passing other vehicles is strictly prohibited for safety reasons.

Loading & Unloading Rules:

  • Please advance to the designated loading zone and remain inside your vehicle at all times.  To maintain maximum traffic capacity and safety, all student loading must occur directly in front of the school building; loading prior to the fence line is strictly prohibited.
  • Pull forward to the furthest available spot in the loading zone before allowing your child to exit or enter the vehicle.
  • For maximum safety, students are permitted to enter and exit vehicles from the passenger side only. Staff members will be stationed along the curb to assist students. If your child requires assistance with a booster seat or safety harness, please pull forward to the designated Waiting Zone or a parking stall. To maintain traffic flow, drivers must remain inside their vehicles while in the loading zone.

Pedestrian and Walker Safety:

  • To ensure student safety, the south and east sidewalks are restricted areas during carpool hours. Students must remain in their designated supervised waiting zones.

Parent Parking:

  • Parents who choose to park and pick up their students must use the designated crosswalks located in front of the Elementary or Junior High buildings.
  • Students walking north are instructed to exit through the gate located between the Junior High and High School buildings, leading toward the LDS church parking lot.
  • Students walking south must remain on the designated sidewalk and wait for the signal from the crossing guard before crossing the street.

These procedures are designed to ensure the safety of all students, staff, and families. Thank you for your cooperation. For questions regarding carpool safety, please contact:
