Symphonic Strings

Symphony strings is an advanced level course. Students will continue to develop and refine techniques learned in their first three years of orchestra. Focus will be on mastering two octave scales and some three octave scales, refining advanced techniques like vibrato and advanced bowing techniques. Symphony strings also combines with the advanced wind and percussion students to play full orchestra music. Students will participate in multiple performances throughout the year and will also have the opportunity to perform a solo and participate at various festivals. An instrument and music book is required.
