World History I & II

The study of World History emphasizes the increasing interrelationships over time of the world’s peoples. Beginning with a study of prehistoric time, students will gain an understanding of early civilizations and their contributions to the foundations of human culture. They will study the classical cultures of the Middle East, Europe, and Asia as well as the early cultures of Africa and the Americas, concluding with a study of The Middle Ages throughout the world. Study begins with the Renaissance and Age of Discovery and concludes with the study of changes occurring in the transition from early modern to contemporary societies, as well as global integration in the 20th century.
